Institute of Business Ethics appoints Lauren Branston as CEO

The Institute of Business Ethics (IBE) is delighted to announce the appointment of Lauren Branston as its new CEO.

Lauren will join the IBE on 2nd September as CEO, succeeding Dr Ian Peters. Lauren is moving to the IBE from her role as CEO of the consultancy LB&CO. Lauren has a wealth of experience as a corporate affairs and sustainability leader, delivering positive change on social and environmental issues throughout her career.

Before joining the IBE, Lauren has worked driving change in strategy, culture, sustainability and communications to improve social and environmental outcomes in organisations including Starbucks, Grant Thornton, The Coca-Cola Company, Mobico, Pernod Ricard and Pfizer. She has also worked extensively with organisations in the not-for-profit and charitable sectors, including Scope and Fair4All Finance and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Soil Association.

Commenting on her appointment Lauren said: “I am delighted to have been asked to lead the Institute of Business Ethics at such a pivotal time for business, sustainability and society. Commenting on Lauren’s appointment, Ian Peters said: “Following a rewarding tenure as the Director at the IBE where I have worked closely with company boards and senior leadership to support them in promoting an ethical culture, I am excited to pass the baton over to Lauren. Her comprehensive expertise in communications, reputation risk, corporate advocacy and issues management will undoubtedly advance the IBE’s mission of promoting sustainable business practices and championing ethics.
